The journey of coming to this place and opening a restaurant with 17 years of experience is evidence to the power of passion, dedication, and strength of the hotel owner Dr. Dhungana. He was raised in a simple, hardworking environment in a remote region in a village named Majuwagadhi, Nepal. Even though his upbringing had been difficult, he had a strong passion for cooking, which inspired him to begin working at little food stalls in his neighborhood. There, he developed his culinary abilities and started to have dreams of a better life. Gradually, with immense hope and hunger for a better career, he made his way from tiny stalls to neighborhood hotels, where he never missed to surprise people with his culinary skills and diligent work ethic. He then moved to Kathmandu, the vibrant capital city of Nepal, where he worked at a variety of institutions, earning essential experience. This was a major turning point in his life. However, the big break came when he managed to secure a position at the prestigious Hyatt Regency in Kathmandu, demonstrating exceptional skill and leadership, overseeing daily operations and ensuring top-notch service. His work at this VIP hotel not only solidified his reputation but also opened doors to international opportunities.

Driven by ambition and a desire to expand his horizons, he ventured to the United States. He worked in some of the most prestigious restaurants like Mugal Express Restaurant for 4 years, and then at Koniska of Indian Fusion Redmond from 2013-2017 for 5 years, then it was NYC Dhaba and Bhatti India Grill in New York, immersing himself in the fiercely competitive restaurant sector and gaining extensive understanding of all aspects of hotel operations. Now, with a wealth of experience and a proven track record, he was all set to open his own venture, a new one in Dallas.

Dallas came with its own challenges with all the passion for cooking and courage, Swagat Indian Nepalese Fusion was opened in April, along with Sagarmatha India Nepalese Fusion in November, and the same year the wave of tremor from Covid hit the place but still with the passion and experience mustered from previous tasks in the line, the restaurant survived and after a disastrous start, the place finally took off.

And with the dream of bringing that elegant food with its mind-boggling taste to New York, this establishment is the result of many years of laborious effort, careful planning, and a dedication to quality. Visitors are wholeheartedly welcome to explore this brand new heaven of comfort and elegance, where each element has been designed to provide an unmatched experience. With its thoughtful ambiance and tasteful combination of warmth and elegance, the new hotel is sure to raise the bar for hospitality. So, what are you waiting for? Come experience the unique blend of Nepali hospitality and New York elegance. For more at Indian restaurants Brooklyn NY
